How we’re keeping anti-wrinkle injections in UK clinics safe

Anti-wrinkle injections in the UK

It’s not just getting anti-wrinkle injections at a UK clinic that has been disrupted since March 2020. Much of our daily lives have changed, from children wearing masks in lessons to queues outside supermarkets. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, and in a couple of weeks, anti-wrinkle injections will be back. However, we’re also aware that you might still be worried about staying safe. At Therapie Clinic, we’ve always worked hard to ensure your Botox is safe and now is no different. Before our doors open again, we’re sharing precisely what steps we’re taking now and post-pandemic to protect you and still deliver the best results.

Consultation before Botox injections

A crucial part of our process has always been the consultation before you have Botox treatment. This is still the case, except now we can offer this online to reduce social contact. During this consultation, we discuss with you what you would like to achieve from your injectables. For example, you may wish to have Botox for the forehead or might be looking to get rid of crow’s feet at the corner of your eyes.

It’s also an opportunity for us to assess your suitability for treatment. While Botox is suitable for almost everyone, there are a few exceptions, such as if you have cold sores or are pregnant. We’re also able to cover the steps you need to take before your treatment to get the best Botox results. For example, a few vitamins and medications need to be avoided to reduce any bruising or swelling that you might experience.

Consultation after your anti-wrinkle injections

As is our standard process, you will also still receive a consultation after having your Botox treatment. There are very few Botox side effects, but we make sure you are aware of these, such as the fact you might feel a heaviness in your face a couple of weeks after treatment. There are also a few essential precautions you need to take in the initial hours following your treatment. For example, you need to avoid lying down for the first few hours and exercise for a day. This is to prevent Botox from slipping into untreated areas. This consultation is crucial in ensuring you get the best Botox treatment.

Treatments from professionals at a leading medical clinic

There is far less regulation around who can deliver Botox injectables than you might expect. But as a medical clinic, we ensure all our practitioners are fully qualified and trained with the facial anatomy knowledge required for successful treatments. In fact, our clinics are led by a team of doctors dedicated to delivering the best treatments in the safest way.

Keeping you safe from Covid-19

But what about the pandemic? We are taking extra safety precautions as we prepare to open our clinics again on 12th April 2021. As well as providing face masks, gloves and hand sanitisers, our staff will also be wearing the appropriate PPE. In addition, we are opening for longer hours to reduce footfall in clinics and following social distancing measures. We’re also asking our customers to complete their initial consultation and a screening questionnaire online before attending their appointment. You can find out more about our Covid-19 measures here.
