Profhilo

Is Profhilo a Dermal Filler?

No, it is not a Dermal filler – the only similarity is that they are both hyaluronic acid gels, but the gels are completely different. Profhilo perfuses the skin, and Dermal Filler replaces deep subcutaneous fat and enhances bone structure.

Profhilo cannot change contours or facial shape or provide enhancement, it cannot be used to directly target fine lines. Profhilo is solely used to trigger a skin remodelling increasing skin quality and luminance.

Where can Profhilo be used?

Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas but can also effectively be used for rejuvenating the neck, décolleté, arms, knees, and hands. I

ncreasingly, the neck is becoming a popular area to have Profhilo, due to its ability to help reduce crepe-like skin and sagginess and encourage a firmer appearance.

Overall facial rejuvenation, Hand Rejuvenation, Facial Sagging, Sagging Neck Skin, and Crepey Texture on Neck.

What does Profhilo treatment involve?

Profhilo is injected just below the skin’s surface over 2 sessions 4 weeks apart. After injection, it disperses quickly beneath the skin to improve hydration, without any need for massage or the risk of leaving lumps or nodules. Profhilo is absorbed within a 2cm radius of its injection site, so to treat the face only 10 injection points are needed in total.

A single course of Profhilo involves 2 injectable treatments, after which you can expect to see intense hydration. It makes the skin glow, fine lines can disappear and you’ll notice smoother tighter skin. Courses of two treatments can be repeated every six months as needed to maintain the results.

Will Profhilo work for my skin type?

We start losing a significant amount of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid after we reach 25, and it is at this age that we start to consider preventative treatments.

This is the time when many people would consider their first anti-wrinkle injections as the first lines start to appear. If you feel your facial tissue quality has dropped significantly, and that you may look older for your age, but are not ready for dermal fillers yet, Profhilo may be the best treatment for you.

Could I get Profhilo to target lines on my forehead or around my eyes?

No, for fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area, you’ll need Anti-Wrinkle Injectables.

Can I have Profhilo treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?

You cannot have any injectable treatment carried out while pregnant or breastfeeding.

How long should I wait between Profhilo and other injectable treatments?

You will need to wait a minimum of 4 weeks between injectable treatments.

When will I see results from Profhilo?

Expect to first see a difference 3 weeks after your 2nd treatment session of your initial treatment cycle.

How long do Profhilo results last?

After the initial treatment (of 2 sessions one month apart), follow-up sessions are usually recommended every 6 months.

When can I fly after having Profhilo?

You can fly 7 days after you have had Profhilo.
